A Big Hint Just Dropped About Who's Designing Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress

While we finally know what Meghan Markle’s wedding dress looks like in the season finale of Suits, there’s still an agonizing month-long wait until we know for sure what her real wedding dress will look like when she marries Prince Harry on May 19. But we might be one step closer to knowing the designer, at least.

Erdem, the British fashion house run by the Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralıoğlu, just announced that they are no longer outsourcing their PR to an agency and are bringing their public relations operations in-house with the hire of a new PR manager, Kathryn Lo, according to Diary Directory.

Since Erdem is already one of the favorites among betters to be the royal wedding dress designer, the fact that they’re “staffing up,” as People said, is a huge hint that they may be preparing to design the wedding dress of the year.

Picking a designer with ties to the United Kingdom and Canada, like Erdem, not only would be a tribute to Markle’s new home at Kensington Palace, but also a fitting nod to Toronto, where she filmed Suits before she got engaged to Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Cambridge has already worn dresses by Erdem at least three times in 2018.

Erdem also happens to be a favorite designer of her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. During the royal visit to Sweden and Norway in January, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a bold floral gown and a blue velvet dress by Erdem. She also wore a black and white lace dress by the designer to the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange reception at Buckingham Palace in February.

But it’s not a done deal quite yet. Ralph & Russo, the brand who designed the black and gold gown Markle wore in her engagement photos, is also hiring a new PR assistant, according to a LinkedIn post.

Either way, we won’t know for sure who the royal wedding dress designer is until Markle arrives at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, so until then, we’ll just have to wait.
